“Junior Lab” is a pioneering project launched by the Balearic Islands Biotechnology and Biomedical Cluster (BIOIB) in collaboration with Laminar Pharma and several secondary and high school centers in the Mallorca.

The objective of this project is to estimulate the interest of young undergraduate students for Biomedical sciences and encourage talented students to initiate a professional career in life sciences.

As part of this “Junior Lab” initiative, Laminar Pharma will offer access to its lab facilities and scientific infrastructures to groups of students in the fields of biology, biochemistry and other life sciences disciplines in secondary and high school. Through specific agreements with selected educational centers from the Balearic Island, groups of life sciences students will be conducting laboratory practice sessions at Laminar Pharma’s lab as part of the educational activities in disciplines like cell biology, chemistry or biochemistry. With this initiative Laminar Pharma aims to contribute to estimulating the interest for biomedical and life sciences among young students in the Balearic Islands, facilitating a hands on experience for these students and improving their practical skills in biosciences research.
